Around 130 capital hospital doctors, paramedical staff test Covid-19 positive

Bhubaneswar: Around 130 frontline workers of Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar have tested positive for Covid-19 till now.

Of them, 40 doctors and 80 paramedics which includes 30 staff nurses, 40 technicians, 15 pharmacists staff are severely affected by the third wave of Covid pandemic.

We are forced to run the hospital with less number of staff in the morning hours and we have closed the OPD in the evening hours,” said Capital Hospital Director Laxmidhar Sahoo.

We are conducting antigen test for patients. After the patient test negative ,we check them, informed Sahoo.

Odisha on Thursday reported 10,368 new Covid-19 cases, including 1,090 cases from 0-18 age group, and seven deaths. While the death toll surged to 8,501 in the State.
