Jharsuguda: Two unidentified miscreants allegedly looted gold ornaments worth lakhs from a jewellery shop in Gandhi Chhak this evening.
As per reports, two masked miscreants reached the shop on a motorcycle and terrorised the customers on gun point. They later fire one round in the air to terrorise the shop owner and decamped with gold ornaments.
Police have started an investigation into the incident. Police said that they are also trying to obtain CCTV footage of nearby shops to identify the accused. “We are also trying to ascertain the involvement of veteran criminals in the crime. We are also trying to figure out the exact value of ornaments looted,” said a police official.
