Berhampur: In a tragic incident, a second year MBBS student died after being injured during a cricket match in Berhampur today.
The deceased has been identified as Biswabhusan Sahu (24), a second year MBBS student of Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College in Koraput.
Sahu’s friends said that he became unconscious after he got hit by a cricket ball while playing cricket at MKCG Medical College field this morning.
“He fell on the ground after the ball hit his ear while he was batting. We immediately rushed him to the MKCG Medical College where he was declared dead,” said an eyewitness.
