ABVP activists barge into BSE office while protesting over Matric question paper viral

Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police resorted to a mild lathicharge on some agitating ABVP activists in front of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) headquarters and arrested more than 15 of them here on Tuesday.

According to reports, more than 30 ABVP activists barged into the BSE office while protesting over matriculation question paper going viral on social media. Besides, they were demanding action against the board officials over the incident.

The ABVP activists had a clash with the security guards and officials while the latter tried to prevent them from entering into the office. Besides, the activists of the outfit damaged the main gate of the BSE office and allegedly attempted to damage property on the premises of the BSE office.

On being informed about the incident, Cuttack DCP Akhileswar Singh along with a team of cops rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the angry ABVP activists. However, police resorted to mild lathicharge when things went out of control.

“Investigation into the matter is on and the arrested persons will be forwarded to the court,” said the DCP.
