Balasore: In yet another case of food poisoning in the state, at least 30 persons including the bride and the groom fell sick after consuming a marriage feast in Ranibasana village under Bhogarai block in Balasore district yesterday.
As per the report, wedding function of a local youth had been held in the village on May 15 night where the victims including women and children had consumed dinner.
However, turning the wedding revelry sour for them till the next morning they developed symptoms like nausea, vomiting and loose motion. After their conditions deteriorated further by the afternoon, at least 30 persons were rushed to Jaleswarpur Hospital immediately.
Few others who also developed similar symptoms later were put under treatment at a temporary health camp set up by health officials at Ranibasana village.
A special team of doctors has been sent to the village also to take stock of the situation and make further arrangement for treatment.
