Mayurbhanj: In yet another unfortunate incident, two persons were killed when the motorcycle they were travelling on was hit by an ambulance at Karanjia square under Baripada Sadar police limits in Mayurbhanj district last night.
The deceased have been identified as Hrushikesh Sagaria and Bisikesan Prusti. The duo hailed from Uthani Nuagaon panchayat under Badasahi block of Mayurbhanj district and worked as salesmen at a fabric store.
The mishap took place at around 11 pm last night while they were returning home. The ambulance, which was coming from Udala, hit their motorcycle killing them on the spot.
Meanwhile, the Police has registered a case and initiated a probe into the matter. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
