Mumbai: Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was honored with a prestigious ‘Golden Ticket’ for the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 by Jay Shah, the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The BCCI shared this momentous occasion on the social media platform ‘X’ with a photograph of Jay Shah presenting the ‘Golden Ticket’ to Sachin Tendulkar. This honor was conferred upon Tendulkar as part of the ‘Golden Ticket for India Icons’ initiative, and it was marked by a special presentation.
In a post on social media, the BCCI stated, “An iconic moment for cricket and the nation! As part of our ‘Golden Ticket for India Icons’ program, BCCI Honorary Secretary @JayShah presented the golden ticket to Bharat Ratna Shri @sachin_rt. This gesture follows the presentation of the ‘Golden Ticket’ to iconic Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan by Jay Shah.
The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is scheduled to be hosted by India from October 5 to November 19, 2023. The tournament will feature ten teams, including Australia, England, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and New Zealand.
