Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer dropped out of T20Is against Afghanistan on disciplinary grounds

Cricketers Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan have been dropped out of the India 16-player squad for the series against Afghanistan.

India’s T20 International series against Afghanistan is set to begin on January 11. Notably, cricketers Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan have been dropped out of the India 16-player squad for the series against Afghanistan.

The piece of information came as a surprise for many and instantly went up in news.

According to reports from a reliable source, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer have been dropped out of the game due on disciplinary grounds. Reports even claim that the selectors might even not include the two in the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Ishan Kishan was a part of the Indian squad for the Test series against South Africa. He opted out of the last two matches citing personal reasons. However, he was spotted partying with MS Dhoni in Dubai ahead of New Year. He also appeared on a quiz show, a few days later.

On the other hand, the selection board was left unimpressed with Shreyas Iyer due to his extremely poor performance in the Test series against South Africa. Further, the board had also asked him to be a part of the Mumbai team for the upcoming Ranji Trophy. To this, the batter had asked for some time off.

However, now we know for a fact that Iyer is set to play for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy match against Andhra Pradesh from January 12.
