South Africa has scored the highest runs for an innings in the World Cup against Sri Lanka at 428/5 in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Quinton de Kock (100), Rassie van der Dussen (108), and Aiden Markram (106), dominated the innings by scoring respective centuries.

Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen set the platform for the mammoth innings by scoring individual centuries. A quick-fire innings by Markram (106) came in just 54 balls (14 x 4s, 3 x 6s) at a strike rate of 196. Markram became the fastest ODI World Cup hundred batter in just 49 balls. The other contributions came from David Miller 39* (21) and Heinrich Klaseen 32 (20).

From Sri Lanka’s side Dilsan Madushanka picked 2 wickets while Kasun Rajitha, Dunith Wellalange and Matheesha Pathirana picked 1 wicket each.

The match is being played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
