Australia is the second country after New Zealand to enter the New Year 2024. To welcome the New Year, the fireworks programs were held across the Australia, including capital Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, and other places.

In a video released by Big Bash League on official X (formerly Twitter), Glenn Maxwell is seen enjoying the fireworks with his son as they welcome the New Year at The Adelaide Oval.

Meanwhile, Australia’s David Warner has announced his retirement from One-day International (ODI) cricket alongside the end of his Test career completing another chapter in his illustrious career.

During a press conference held on Monday, David Warner officially announced his retirement from ODI cricket. The veteran opener confirmed that the recent World Cup final against India marked his last 50-over appearance for Australia, where they clinched an upset victory in November.
