Will Captain Kohli break record of Tendulkar?

Virat Kohli is all set to break some historical records of International Cricket this World Cup Season.

Is Captain Kohli going to break the historical records set by Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara? Can he make just another century to reach this target?

The Indian Cricket team’s ‘Badboy’ is just 104 runs short from breaking the joint record held by Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara of fastest scored 20,000 runs in Cricket. Kohli, who is yet to score a century in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 has all eyes on him in upcoming India vs Afghanistan clash on Saturday.

Virat Kohli has taken only 415 innings which include 131 in Tests, 222 in ODIs, 62 in T20Is to register 19,896 runs in International Cricket. Whereas, the record holders- Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara took 453 innings to reach the score of 20,000 runs in International Cricket.

At the World Cup 2019, Captain Kohli already became the fastest to score 11,000 One-day International (ODI) runs, breaking Tendulkar’s record in the process. He started his 2019 World Cup season in a rather low score by just 18 runs against South Africa. But he made a stunning comeback by scoring 86 against Australia and then 77 against Arch-rival Pakistan in the previous match.

Virat Kohli is arguably the finest batsman in World Cricket at the moment. So, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he breaks another one of Sachin’s records in this very 2019 World Cup.

India is currently fourth in the World Cup 2019 points table with a cent per cent win record and one washed off game against New Zealand.
