Australia win World Cup for 6th time; Defeated India by 6 Wickets

Australia won its sixth trophy by defeating India by six wickets in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup played at Narendra Modi Stadium today.

Ahmedabad: With much triumph, Australia won its sixth World Cup trophy by defeating India by six wickets. Chasing 241 run target given by India in final match of ICC World Cup 2023 being played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the team made 241 runs by losing 4 wickets while  balls were left.

From Australia, Travis Head score 137 runs in 120 balls, while Marnus Labuschagne made 58 runs in 110 balls. In the second innings, Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets, while Shami took one wicket.

In the first inning, KL Rahul scored 66 runs in 107 balls, while Virat Kohli made 54 runs in 63 balls. Indian captain Rohit Sharma scored 47 runs in 31 balls. From Australian side, Mitchell Star took three wickers whole Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins took 2 wickets each.
