Ajay Jadeja questions management over unfair treatment to Ishan Kishan, says ‘we reject players’

Former Indian Cricketer Ajay Jadeja recently took a dig at the Indian team’s management for resting Ishan Kishan in the last two T20Is.

Former Indian Cricketer Ajay Jadeja recently took a dig at the Indian team’s management for resting Ishan Kishan in the last two T20Is, questioning if the young player was truly exhausted after just three matches. Speaking on Sports Tak, Jadeja expressed his disbelief at Kishan being sent home to rest despite not playing the entire T20I series against Australia.

Ajay Jadeja emphasized Ishan Kishan’s noteworthy performances. He pointed out that he deserved a spot in the playing XI for the initial World Cup matches. He also highlighted Kishan’s impressive record, including scoring two fifties in three innings. The cricketer-turned-analyst questioned the team’s approach, wondering how Kishan could be fully ready if such resting patterns continued.

Despite facing limited opportunities, Ishan Kishan has managed to be a consistent member of the team. Indian off-spinner R Ashwin praised Kishan’s selfless attitude, noting his happiness when Kishan performs well and highlighting his dedication to keeping other players’ gear ready without complaints.

In response to Jadeja’s criticism, the Indian team announced squads for the upcoming OSuth Africa tour, including Kishan in both T20I and Test squads. The tests squad will be led by Rohit Sharma while the T20I squad will be led by Suryakumar Yadav. Take a look at the squads:
