India Post, also known as the Department of Posts (DOP), Government of India, is all set to recruit eligible candidates for various position under the sports quota. The recruitment drive offers opportunities for positions such as Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, Postman, Mail Guard, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for these positions through the official website once the recruitment notification is released.

Eligibility Criteria

For Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant:

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
Proficiency in computer operations.

For Postman / Mail Guard:

12th standard pass from a recognized Board.
Proficiency in the local language of the relevant Postal Circle or Division as one of the subjects in 10th standard or above.
Proficiency in computer operations.
Valid license to drive a two-wheeler or Light Motor Vehicle (applicable to the Postman post only). Persons with Benchmark Disability are exempted from the possession of a license.

For Multi-Tasking Staff:

10th standard pass from a recognized Board.

Sports Qualification

Candidates must meet one of the following sports qualifications:

Representation at the State or National level in any of the sports or games mentioned in para 7 of the notification.
Representation of their university in Inter University Tournaments conducted by the Inter University Sports Board in any of the sports/games mentioned in para 7 of the notification.
Representation of the State School teams in the National Sports/Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in any of the sports/games mentioned in para 7 of the notification.
Receipt of National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected based on a merit list prepared by India Post, considering the information provided in the online application portal.
