New Delhi: The beats of Odisha’s Sambalpuri folk style ‘Dalkhai’ can impress even top notch international biggies. This has been proved recently after IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva was seen dancing to the said beat during the G20 summit in Delhi. The video has impressed many people and netizens are coming up with encouraging comments on social media.

Managing Director of International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva arrived in New Delhi Airport on Friday and she was given a rousing welcome with a popular Indian folk dance style. A group of folk dancers were seen in the video dancing to the beats of popular Sambalpuri folk style ‘Dalkhai’.

The dance was so impressive that the IMF Managing Director not only witnessed it happily but she also danced to the beat. She won heart of people for highly appreciating the dance style as she conveyed her love and respect for the dance in Indian style by doing ‘Namaskar’.

It is to be noted that Odisha’s Sambalpuri folk styles like Dalkhai, Rasarkeli, Maelajada, Chutkuchuta, Nachnia, Maleshree etc. are so impressive that even though people do not understand the language, they start dancing to these beats.
