Puri: A youth was thrashed for eve teasing in Puri district of Odisha. He had reportedly threatened to throw acid on a girl student of a College. The incident took place in a College premises in the district on Thursday.
As per reports, non-students are often seen creating trouble for the students in this College premises. In the recent case, a non-student had passed comment on a girl, a student of Plus II in the College.
Reportedly, he also used to harass the girl when she was coming to the College to attend classes. He also had reportedly threatened the girl to throw acid on her.
Recently, some others caught the said youth, knelt down him in front of the Principal’s office and thrashed him. The video of this incident has gone viral.
When asked about the incident, the principal of the College said that the said youth has furnished an undertaking where he has promised not to harass any girl in future. In case he would again harass, legal action will be taken against him.
