Two suspected human skeletons found from under construction overhead water tank in Odisha
Locals of Nischinta village under Sadar Block of Odisha’s Jajpur district were shocked and surprised after spotting two suspected human skeletons inside an overhead water tank.
Jajpur: Locals of Nischinta village under Sadar Block of Odisha’s Jajpur district were shocked and surprised after spotting two suspected human skeletons inside an overhead water tank.
The matter came to the light after two children saw the skeletons after accidentally climbing up the tank while playing and informed others about it. Out of curiosity, soon a huge crowd of people from the nearby locality gathered at the spot.
Later, Jajpur Sadar Police along with a scientific team reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter. However, it is yet to be known whether the skeletons are of human or of animals.
“We went to the water tank after hearing about the human skeletons from a villager. The construction work has been stopped for over four to five months ago. We don’t know anything about it. So, we demand the police to conduct a proper investigation and find out whose skeletons are they,” said a villager.
Meanwhile, Jajpur Police initiated a probe into the matter after sending the skeletons to the district headquarters hospital for post-mortem.
