Passenger bus overturns after losing control in Padampur of Odisha, 15 injured

Padampur: At least 15 people were injured after the passenger bus they were travelling in lost control and overturned in Padampur of Odisha’s Bargarh district. The incident has occurred in Sulia village under Buden police limits of the district.

According to sources, around 55 people from Chhattisgarh were on their way to offer prayer at Nrushingnath Temple in Padampur when the bus lost control and overturned at around 4 am in the morning.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and rushed the injured to the nearby hospital. As per police reports, 17 people were less injured, while other 15 were critically injured in the incident. The cops have initiated a probe into the matter.

Earlier, six children were killed and 3 turned critical as a school bus hit a tree and then overturned in Haryana. It has been reported that the driver was drunk. Following the incident, 3 people including the principal of the school were arrested.

As per reports, the principal of the school to which the bus belonged, the driver, who allegedly jumped out of the bus just before it hit the tree and the secretary of the school have been taken into custody.

As per police, medical test was conducted on the driver where it was found that alcohol was present in his bloodstream.
