Passenger bus collides head-on with truck in Cuttack, 2 killed, 40 injured

At least 2 people were killed and as many as 40 people were injured after a truck collided head-on with a passenger bus in Cuttack.

Cuttack: At least 2 people were killed and as many as 40 people were injured after a truck collided head-on with a passenger bus near the Katarpada on the Salepur-Chandabili road in Cuttack district on Tuesday. According to reports, the accident occurred due to heavy fog.

According to sources, a bus carrying 50 passengers was travelling from Kendrapara to Cuttack when it collided with a truck near Katarpada. Two people were killed on the spot after the deadly collision between the bus and truck. Among the 40 injured people, several people’s condition remains critical. The drivers of the two vehicles have also sustained critical injuries.

The police and the fire brigade reached the spot after being informed. The rescue operation in ongoing with the help of the locals.
