Bhubaneswar: Odisha will see light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning on both Friday and September 12, said reliable reports.

Central regions of the state and the regions adjoining Chhattisgarh continue to experience heavy rainfall due to the active cyclonic circulation informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Further the weather department has said that light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning is likely in Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal on Friday and Saturday.

The India Meteorological Department on Friday said that heavy rainfall activity is likely over northeast India during the next five days and over Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat during the next three days.

Further, the intensity of rain in Odisha is likely to increase from September 12. It is worth mentioning that, the month of August recorded a scarcity in rainfall. The total rainfall in state is about 12 percent less than the regular amount.

n East India, the weather forecast for the coming days includes the likelihood of light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning.

“This weather pattern is expected to be fairly widespread to widespread, with isolated instances of heavy rainfall. Specifically, Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand are expected to experience these conditions on Friday,” said the IMD in its bulletin.
