Pune: Odisha received the Express Public Health Award-2018 recently. The award was conferred by Express Healthcare for ‘Most effective Health Technology Systems by a State Government’ during the third Healthcare Sabha-2018 in Pune.
Odisha was recognised for its innovative initiative to provide quality healthcare to people at dispensaries by facilitating consultation and advice from specialists through video-conferencing. The jury termed it as a model for easy access to prompt and timely healthcare services.
The Healthcare Sabha was organsied by the Indian Express Group and Express Healthcare from March 8-10, 2018.
Many policy makers, thought leaders, national and international health organisations, social entrepreneurs, technology and ancillary healthcare service providers attended the event.
