Cuttack: The delight of living an addictive life is experienced differently when you become addicted to something. Everybody has a childhood desire of making it big in this world, but very few people actually succeed in doing so. Sidharth’s story serves as a reminder that nothing can stop you from achieving your goals if you have the will to do so.
Airplanes, helicopters, and Robert Bort have all fascinated him since he was a young child. He had always desired to create all of this, and as a kid, his dream job was to be a pilot. He did not, however, have the expected outcome and went on to become a mechanical engineer.
Robert Bort, a helicopter pilot, became his main focus as a result of his failure to build a helicopter. He quit his lucrative career and returned home to construct a helicopter.
Hailing from Sishua village near Salepur in Cuttack district, Siddhartha Behera spent three years working for a reputable organization after receiving his degree in mechanical engineering,
Yet, his passion for building the helicopter drove him back to his hometown. For the past four years, Siddharth has been building a miniature helicopter called Robert Bort in his town. His efforts have started to bear fruits.
All of these miniature helicopters are currently being used as models in seminars at prestigious universities both domestically and abroad. Before flying it into different places, Sidharth tested his mini-helicopter as a boat in the water and in the air in his hometown.
Now Sidharth received his due credit. More than 20 miniature helicopters, including Robert Bort Drones, have been built by Siddhartha till date. His cousin, who lives and works in Pune, supports him in his efforts for contributing to the society and visits him while on holiday, and assists him with his work.
Siddhartha’s parents hope that the state government should support him in his endeavor. They claim that he will boost Odisha’s reputation and honor during the upcoming days.
