A leopard has been rescued from a deep open well. IFS officer Susanta Nanda, who is best known for his Twitter posts on animals, has posted the video of the leopard rescue.

As we can see in the video, a leopard is being lifted from an open deep well. The animal has been lifted with the help of a platform in which multiple ropes are attached. As the video continues, it is further seen that the animal quickly flees by jumping before it reaches the ground.

“Another rescue of a leopard from an open well using the Mohenjo Daro Harappan technology. This will stop only when we close the open wells around animal habitat,” reads the caption of the tweet post by IFS Susanta Nanda.

Over 44,000 people have watched the video and there have been a number of comments. The existence of dangerous open wells near forest areas has raised heavy criticism. Many tweeter users showed their concern about the possibility that the leopard might have suffered injuries during the rescue. Others urged the government to construct a wall or a fence around the well.
