Bhubaneswar: Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda’s wife Subhashree Panda alia Mili Panda will contest from Ranpur Assembly constituency in Congress ticket in the upcoming general election in Odisha.
Mili, who had earlier this month announced Sabyasachi’s possible foray into politics in 2019 election for the so called benefit of four core Odias of the state, was given a ticket by the grand old party in its second list of candidates released last night.
Notably, it is not for the first time that Sabyasachi’s wife is going to fight an election, in 2014 she fought as a candidate of Ama Odisha party floated by Soumya Ranjan Patnaik from Ranpur and got defeated BJD’s Rabinarayan Mohapatra. She joined Congress in August last year.
Ms Kalinga
