Mayurbhanj man attacked with hunting knife, left critically injured
The victim has been identified as Govind Behera of Khanua village in Baripada. He was admitted at the PRM hospital for immediate treatment.
Mayurbhanj: In a shocking incident in Baripada, a young man was assaulted by a group of men and left in a critical condition. The incident took place in the evening hours of July 16 in Dukura village.
The victim has been identified as Govind Behera of Khanua village that comes under the jurisdiction of Badasahi Police station. Reportedly, the Mayurbhanj man was attacked with a hunting knife. Behera was immediately admitted at the PRM hospital in Baripada.
The family of the victim has alleged three names of being the attackers. They were residents of the same area, namely, Hemendra Giri, Sangram Singh, and Kuna Singh. The reason behind the attack is said to have been previous enmity and longstanding rivalry.
