CDPO was caught red-handed by the vigilance sleuths for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 40,000 from SHG group
Jharsuguda: A Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) was caught red-handed by the vigilance sleuths for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 40,000 from SHG group engaged in preparation of Chatua in Jharsuguda.
The accused woman has been identified as Sarojini Ekka. She was posted as CDPO of Jharsuguda.
Reports say, Sarojini was asking a bribe of Rs 40,000 from a Complainant (President of a SHG) for release of pending CHHATUA bill of previous four months. On being informed about the matter, the Vigilance officials laid a trap and caught the accused official red-handed while she was taking the bribe.
The bribe money has been recovered and seized from the CDPO and have apprehended her.
