An illegal cattle trade has been busted in Balasore district of Odisha yet again by the police on Tuesday said reliable reports.

This time the cattle was being transported in an unique manner that is in a bus. Reportedly, the cattle was being taken to West Bengal in a bus.

To avoid suspicion or checking, the cattle were tied inside the bus in a pathetic condition and were being illegally transported.

The Khantapada police however got a tip-off about the illegal cattle trade and intercepted the bus and rescued the cows and left them in Ma Bharati Cowshed Center.

Recently the Odisha police rescued more than 100 cattle from two container trucks near Sergarh Toll plaza on National Highway 16 in Balasore district of Odisha.

According to reports, two container trucks were illegally transporting the cattles to West-bengal from Khurda.

On basis of reliable information, Krishna Pingua the officer of Sergarh Police Outpost intercepted the container trucks at the Sergarh Toll plaza in Balasore.

During the search they rescued over 100 cows and handed them over to the Khantapada police. Thereafter, they were released in a cattle shed near Nilagiri.

The Khantapada police has detained six people in connection with this case including the drivers of the vehicles, said sources.
