Mumbai: The much-awaited official music video of the anthem of Hockey World Cup-2018 – ‘Jai Hind India’ – has finally launched here this evening.
The music video was launched in the presence of music Maestro and the man behind the song AR Rahaman, Odisha Sports Minister Chandra Sarathi Behera and Director of Sports Department R Vineel Krishna.
Hockey legends Dilip Tirkey, Lazarus Barla and Dhanraj Pillay also attended the launching programme.
The lyrics of the song has been penned by the veteran lyricist Gulzar. Rahman is joined by Indian hockey players and celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Sivamani and some Indian Hockey players in the video.
The video song focuses on the message ‘purpose is loftier than victory or defeat.’
The audio of the song was released earlier by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during Rahaman’s maiden visit to Odisha on November 23.
