Bhanjanagar: In a tragic incident, a girl student has died after setting herself on fire said reliable reports on Monday. The incident has been reported from Bhetanai village under Kotinada police station limits.
Reports say that the girl tried to kill herself by dousing herself with petrol and then putting herself on fire. However, why she took such a drastic step is yet to be known.
The Kotinada police have reached the spot and are investigating into the matter. The body has been recovered and sent for postmortem. Detailed reports awaited.
