Free WiFi in universities of Odisha to be available soon
From the next academic year, students of all the Government universities in the state of Odisha will get free Wi-Fi and 1 GB Data, the installation process for the same has been started.
Bhubaneswar: From the next academic year, students of all the Government universities in the state of Odisha will get free Wi-Fi and 1 GB Data, the installation process for the same has been started.
The Government of Odisha intended to provide free WiFi facilities for the students in the campus of the Universities for improvement in the academic environment, as most of the study resources and books are nowadays available online.
Therefore, the Government of Odisha has requested the Universities to take steps to furnish a detailed estimate including GST and service charges of executing agency for approval regarding the installation of WiFi facilities in the campus of the Universities.
Earlier in the month of May, the then Higher Education Minister Rohit Pujari had informed after the review meeting of the State Higher Education Department that there will be free WiFi in Universities of Odisha
The Department of Electronics Information and Technology (IT) will work to provide free 1 GB data. Similarly, the State government will bring sports policy and start-up policy for students.
The State government has already started coaching the civil services aspirants in accordance with the new syllabus pattern. For this, 200 students have been selected through entrance examination.
