4 killed, 4 injured in separate road accidents in Odisha

Four persons were killed while four others sustained critical injuries due to four separate accidents in Bhadrak and Nayagarh districts of Odisha on Tuesday.

Bhadrak/Nayagarh: Four persons were killed while four others sustained critical injuries due to four separate accidents in Bhadrak and Nayagarh districts of Odisha on Tuesday.

According to reports, two people were killed while two others were injured after four bikes collided head on in two separate accidents in the Itamati and Nuagan police station areas of Nayagarh districts.

Police started probe in both the mishaps and sent the bodies to the hospitals for postmortem. They also seized the vehicles from the spots.

Meanwhile, the injured persons are undergoing treatment at the district headquarter hospital.

Likewise, a class five student died on the spot while anther was critical after a tractor hit them while they were returning homes from school. The road accident occurred near Dhanaghar of Nuapokhari area in Bhadrak district.

One Alok Mohanty of Palasahi under Dhusuri Police station limits of the district also died on the spot after his bike was hit by a car near the Charampa overbridge. A woman who was his pillionrider received critical injuries and is undergoing treatment at the Bhadrak district headquarter hospital.

A probe has been initiated into the case.
