Direct flight service from Rourkela to Kolkata to begin from today
In a first, direct flight service from Rourkela to Kolkata is set to begin from today with the support of Odisha Government.
Rourkela: In a first, direct flight service from Rourkela to Kolkata is set to begin from today With the direct flight service, passengers will be able to reach Kolkata from Rourkela within a duration of just 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The fight will be operated by Alliance Air, thrice a week. The services will be available on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday of every week. Notably, the flight tickets have been priced at a starting price of Rs 1999.
Reportedly, the Odisha Government has provided the Viability Gap Funding (VGF) for 35 seats to launch the flight services between Kolkata and Rourkela. The direct flight service between the two destinations is expected to boost the tourism industry of Sundargarh district, massively.
