Mayurbhanj: Brown sugar worth 40 lakh has been seized from Mayurbhanj district of Odisha on late night of Wednesday.
According to reports, 413 grams of the contraband has been seized by the Mayurbhanj police and one person has been arrested in this connection.
As per preliminary investigation, it was procured from somewhere in West Bengal, said the SP Smith Parmar.
The SP further added that, a case has been registered under NDPS Act at Baripada Police Station.
