Angul: At least two persons were killed after a passenger bus mowed down a scooter at Bhimkand Chhak under Pallahara police limits in Angul district on Sunday.
The identification of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
As per the report, the victims were en-route to a nearby place in some work this morning when the crash took place. A speeding bus namely ‘Bijay’ which was coming from the opposite direction hit their scooter bearing Registration Number-OD 35 A 4395 head-on after driver lost control over the wheels.
The victim duo was killed on the spot.
Police reached the spot and sent the bodies for autopsy after reaching the accident site later in the day.
Both the vehicles involved in the accident have been seized.
