2 ATMs looted in Balasore of Odisha, 5 caught from Bhubaneswar airport

In the loot of two ATMs in Balasore of Odisha, five have been caught from Bhubaneswar airport on Saturday. 

Soro/Bhubaneswar: In the loot of two ATMs in Balasore of Odisha, five have been caught from Bhubaneswar airport on Saturday.

There had been a robbery on January 11 from two ATMs in Balasore district of Odisha. Over 32 lakh rupees was looted by cutting two ATMs in gas cutters. There was a loot from Khaira and Soro police stations of Balasore district.

The thieves had looted Axis Bank ATM near Tudigadia Bazar post office of Khaira Police Station and Punjab National Bank ATM of Soro Police Station, Manalpur.

After the robbery, the local people immediately informed the local area police. The police arrived on getting the news and are investigating into the matter. Last Tuesday, the bank authorities filled the ATM with Rs. 12 lakh rupees.

There are frequent reports of such ATMs being looted in different parts of the state. Usually an alarm goes off when an ATM machine is hacked. Similarly, a down call is also sent to the head office managing the ATM. But there is no information about whether something like this has happened in this case. By taking advantage of this, miscreants are escaping very easily.
