After Parida’ family came to know about the incident and called up Nayagarh Fire Brigade Office, the fire tenders reached the village at around 2 AM and started fire extinguishing operation. The blaze was brought under control after hours of efforts by the firemen.

“We lost property worth over Rs 10 lakh in the mishap which includes furnitures, sarees, and other items bought for a marriage which was to be held in the house in the next few days.
