Yamuna continues to overflow, water levels cross danger mark

Today the water level was recorded at 206.56 m at Old Yamuna Bridge. The water level of Yamuna has been on the rise since July 22, 2023.

New Delhi (ANI): Water level of Yamuna River is on the rise yet again. On 24 July the water level was recorded at 206.56 m at Old Yamuna Bridge.

The water level of Yamuna has been on the rise since July 22, said reliable reports from concerned authorities.

It is further worth mentioning that, the flood-affected people were shifted to relief camps as they lost their houses and shelters to the rising river.

Hundreds of flood-affected people were seen taking shelter in the relief camps near the Old Yamuna Bridge. After July 13, the water of Yamuna receded gradually after reaching an all-time high of 208.66 meters.

However, there have been fluctuations in the water level over the last two-three days since widespread rain has been experienced in the upper catchment area.
