Delhi: Taking a serious note of the incessant rainfall in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today announced that schools across Delhi will be closed tomorrow.

Kejriwal’s announcement to close the schools tomorrow came as several areas of the National Capital City has been witnessing heavy downpour. Moreover, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that there will be light to moderate rainfall with heavy to very heavy rainfall likely for two days in Delhi.

It is to be noted here that earlier in the day, due to heavy rainfall, the boundary wall of a newly built government school collapsed in Sriniwaspuri, the Assembly constituency of Education Minister Atishi.

Meanwhile, the Minister has ordered an immediate physical inspection of all government schools to ensure that children do not face any problem after reaching schools on Monday morning.
