RPF jawan shoots 4 dead on Jaipur-Mumbai train

A RPF constable allegedly shot dead four people including another RPF jawan on board a train near Palghar railway station in Maharashtra.

New Delhi: A Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable reportedly opened fire aboard the Jaipur Express near Palghar railway station in Maharashtra, resulting in the tragic deaths of four individuals, including another RPF jawan and three passengers. The horrifying incident occurred during the train’s journey from Jaipur to Mumbai.

According to initial reports, the constable engaged in a heated altercation with his fellow jawan, and when some bystanders tried to intervene, the accused unleashed gunfire, leading to the fatal consequences that claimed four innocent lives.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this shocking event, and further details are yet to be released.

In an update, the RPF constable has been identified as Chetan Singh and has been arrested, DCP North GRP has informed.
