Road accident in Andhra Pradesh: 4 killed after bus rams into stationary truck in Kakinda

Vijayawada: Four people were killed when a bus rammed into a stationary truck in Kakinada district of Andhra Pradesh early Monday morning. The road accident in Andhra Pradesh occurred on the national highway near Padalamma temple in Prathipadu mandal.

According to police, a truck which was heading to Bapatla from Odisha had suffered a tyre puncture and the driver had stopped the vehicle by the roadside.

A bus of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), which was on its way to Rajamahendravaram from Visakhapatnam, hit the stationary truck from behind.

Three persons fixing the puncture and a pedestrian were killed on the spot in the Andhra Pradesh road accident.

The bus driver did not stop the vehicle after the accident and reached Rajamahendravaram.

Police have registered a case and took up investigation.

Earlier today, At least six labourers died, and six others were injured after a bus collided with a tractor-trolley in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur district. The incident occurred near Samadhganj when the Uttar Pradesh Roadways bus was heading to Jaunpur from Prayagraj.

According to reports, five of the total the deceased died on the spot and the sixth in a district hospital. Reportedly, 12 labourers were travelling in the tractor-trolley when the accident occurred.
