Addressing an election rally at Mahasamund, Rahul said, “Within 10 days after coming into power, the Congress party will waive- off the loans of Chhattisgarh farmers. Secondly, you all were told that you will get a bonus. Since the last two years, you have not been getting the same. Not only we will resume this practice, but we will also compensate for the bonus of these two years, which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) failed to do. They (BJP) talk about MSP. Congress will get you Rs 2,500 for paddy.”

Assuring to create employment in the state, the Congress president said, “Chhattisgarh is a rich state, which has water, land, coal, mineral and everything in it. However, BJP has ruined the state by taking all money from the state and giving them to few rich businessmen for the last 15 years, due to which there is no jobs for the youths. But, we will put up food processing units in every district, every block, so that your children will get jobs in the same factory. ”

The Nehru-Gandhi scion also assured to provide free medical treatment to the people of the state.

Besides, he came down heavily on the BJP-led union government over controversial Rafale deal. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave Rs 30,000 crore to Anil Ambani in Rafale contract. Whose money was it? It was the money of the people who stood in queues and deposited in banks during demonetization.
