Pune: 6 dead after fire breaks out at candle-manufacturing factory

In a tragic incident, as many as six people have been feared dead due to a fire at a candle manufacturing factory in Pune. 

Pune: In a tragic incident, as many as six people have been feared dead due to a fire at a candle manufacturing factory in Pune. The incident has been reported from near Talwade village in the outskirts of Pune.

The unit was allegedly manufacturing sparkling candles used for birthday celebrations. The fire started at around 3 pm, and owing to the inflammable material the blaze spread fast.

The deceased and the injured were sent to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital, Pimpri, and Sassoon General Hospital in Pune, said reports.

Reports say that, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh and Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey have reached the spot of fire in candle factory Pune . An investigation is underway in this regard.
