Police Officer shoots himself after shooting female colleague in Bhopal

Bhopal: A police officer has shot himself after shooting his female colleague in Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place outside of the Indore Police Control Room (PCR) today.

The deceased has been identified as Hakam Singh Pawar and was stationed at the capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal. The woman assistant sub inspector was posted in Indore Police Control Room (PCR). Hakam Singh fatally shot and injured his female colleague before taking his own life from a point-blank range.

Hakam Singh Pawar was on his way to the Shyamala Hills police station in Bhopal when this incident took place.

The injured woman was rushed to the nearby hospital and is currently undergoing treatment, informed the police officials.

According to reports, the Police Inspector was allegedly in a love affair with the assistant sub inspector and the relationship escalated into the fatal incident.

The incident is currently under investigation.
