“Pay Rs 20 Crore or we will kill you”: Mukesh Ambani receives death threat via email

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has received death threats through e-mail for Rs 20 crore recently.

Mumbai: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has received death threats through e-mail. In the email, the unknown sender has asked the billionaire to pay Rs 20 crore or else they will kill him.

“If you don’t give us Rs 20 crore, we will kill you. We have the best shooters in India,” the e-mail read.

Following the incident, a complaint has been registered by the security in-charge of Mukesh Ambani at Gamdevi police station in Mumbai. Based on the complaint, the police has registered a case against the unknown person under sections 387 (putting a person in fear of death or of grievous hurt in order to commit extortion) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The cops have initiated a probe into the matter. Further detailed reports related to the case are awaited.

Earlier, a man from Bihar was arrested for giving death threat to Mukesh Ambani in 2022. The accused, identified as Rakesh Kumar Mishra also threatened Mukesh Ambani’s family and to blow up the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai.
