Orange alert issued in Tamil Nadu districts for the next 2 days

Meteorological Centre, Chennai has predicted heavy to heavy rainfall in various districts of Tamil Nadu for the next two days

Chennai: The Meteorological Centre, Chennai has predicted heavy to heavy rainfall in various districts of Tamil Nadu for the next two days and light to moderate rainfall in the coastal areas and delta regions for the next five days.

According to the latest bulletin issued by the weather department, various places in south and north Tamil Nadu, light to moderate rain is likely to occur. Tirunelveli, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi and Kanyakumari districts are going to receive heavy rainfall on Friday.

Orange alert have been issued on Saturday to these four districts of Tamil Nadu, they are Sivaganga, Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram and Pudukkotai. While Nagapattinam, Virudhunagar, Kanyakumari, Madurai,Tenkasi, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur,Mayiladuthurai and Tirunelveli districts are going to receive heavy rainfall.

The weather man predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places of Kanyakumari, Cuddalore, Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Tirunelveli and Mayiladuthurai districts.

Heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Thanjavur, Ramanathapuram, Tirunelveli, Pudukkottai, Thoothukudi and Kanyakumari districts on December 18 and 19.
