Nine more Opposition MPs suspended from Lok Sabha

Nine more LS MPs belonging to different parties have been suspended for 'unruly conduct' inside the House for the rest of session

New-Delhi: Nine more Lok Sabha MPs belonging to different parties have been suspended for ‘unruly conduct’ inside the House for the rest of the winter session in the Parliament. A total of 15 MPs that is 14 from Lok Sabha and one from Rajya Sabha have been suspended.

The suspended MPs are Benny Behanan, VK Sreekandan, Mohammad Jawed and Manickam Tagore from Congress. Behanan and Sreekandan are representing the Chalakudy and Palakkad Lok Sabha constituencies in Kerala while Mohammad Jawed is representing Bihar’s Kishanganj and Manickam Tagore is MP from Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar.

Two Communist Party of India (CPI) MPs from Tamil Nadu PR Natarajan and K Subbarayan have also been suspended.

Two DMK MPs Kanimozhi Karunanidhi and SR Parthiban are also suspended.

S Venkatesan of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) won the 2019 Lok Sabha Election from Tamil Nadu’s Madurai.

Earlier today, 6 MPs were suspended for the rest of the Winter Session over inappropriate behaviour.
