Mortar shell explodes in Samba of Jammu and Kashmir, 1 killed and another injured
In an unfortunate incident, a man was killed while another sustained injuries after a mortar shell exploded in Chandli village of Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday.
Samba: In an unfortunate incident, a man was killed while another sustained injuries after a mortar shell exploded in Chandli village of Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday.
According to Samba Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Benam Tosh, the deceased and the injured found the mortar shell in a forest area. All of a sudden, the mortar shell exploded, killing one on the spot while another got injured.
Tosh said that the injured person was rushed to the local hospital for treatment. Later, he was shifted to GMC Jammu, where his condition is stable.
