MHA issues notification declaring Hafiz Saeed’s son Talha as designated terrorist
New-Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued a notification declaring senior Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) leader Hafiz Mohammad Saeed’s son Hafiz Talha Saeed as a designated terrorist under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
In a notification issued on Friday, the ministry said Hafiz Talha Saeed is a senior leader of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror outfit and head of the cleric wing of the Lets. He is “actively involved in recruitment, fund collection, planning and executing attacks by LeT in India and Indian interests in Afghanistan,” the notification said.
It further stated that Talha Saeed has been “actively visiting various LeT centres across Pakistan and during his sermons propagating for jihad against India, Israel, United States of America and Indian interests in other western countries.”
The notification said Hafiz Talha Saeed, born on October 25, 1975, has been actively visiting various LeT Centres across Pakistan and during his sermons propagating for jihad against India, Israel, the United States of America and the Indian interests in other western countries.
The MHA notification further said the Central government believes that Hafiz Talha Saeed is involved in terrorism and should be notified as a terrorist under the said act.
