A land mafia stole a pond overnight and constructed a hut on the area where the water body once stood in Darbhanga district of Bihar.
Darbhanga: In a shocking incident, a land mafia stole a pond overnight and constructed a hut on the area where the water body once stood in Darbhanga district of Bihar.
According to reports, the government pond in Darbhanga was allegedly stolen by the land mafia. They filled the water body with sand and constructed a hut on it.
After locals got to know about the incident, they immediately informed the local police. Based on the information, the police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the matter.
As per the police reports, the filling took place in the last 10-15 days. The filling work was mostly done in the night hours. However, the police said that there is no information about who the land belong to.
Further investigation is underway.
