Fire breaks out at building due to lightning in Thane
A building caught fire due to a lightning strike after heavy rainfall lashed parts of Thane and Palgarh district of Maharashtra.
Thane: A building caught fire due to a lightning strike after heavy rainfall lashed parts of Thane and Palgarh district of Maharashtra. The fire incident occurred at a building located Durgesh Park locality in the Kalher area of Bhiwandi town in Thane.
As per reports given by the Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation’s disaster management cell officer Sakhib Kharbe, the plastic roof of the building caught fire at around 6.45 am. No casualties or injuries occurred in the incident.
After receiving information about the incident, a fire engine was rushed to the spot and the blaze was put out.
On the other hand, a person died due to bike accident after heavy rain lashed over the Palgarh district of the state.
